Check the progress
It has been ages since my last post.
The school term has been drawing to the end. If you divide the matriculation course into 3 parts, the first bit has been vanishing in no time.
To be honest with yourself, do you think your English has been improved?
Just ask yourself the following questions:
1. Do you think you can write 200 words within 45 minutes without much planning?
2. Are you afraid when you speak English in the presence of other people?
3. Does your head ache when you read through the newspaper to select an article for your homework?
4. Can you enjoy the visuals of English programmes even when you don't understand the language?
5. Do you still think it is impossible for you to present an unfamiliar topic in English with powerpoint slides?
6. Do you still feel unsafe when you don't know what I am talking about during the lesson?
Last question: 7. Today you feel you are on the right track of learning English. If time could go back for 2 years, do you feel confident that your English would be much better today?
Take my words: no matter how good your English is today, it can never be good enough.
Seize the day. Work hard. Be demanding on yourself.
